Who Are RJ Barrett’s Parents Rowan Barrett And Kesha Barrett?

Canadian professional basketball player R.J. Barrett is not only blessed with a booming career with the New York Knickers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is one fortunate dude who’s got two wonderful parents for an incredible support system.

Barrett’s parents are Rowan Barrett and Kesha Duhaney. They first met while attending St. John’s University.

Barrett’s father Rowan Barrett is a former basketball player, and your first glance at the towering man will give you a nod about the apple falling not so far from the tree. Rowan played college basketball for St. John’s before beginning a professional career in Europe and South America.

Born to Jamaican parents and raised in Toronto, Rowan was a long-time member of the Canadian national team, which he captained at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and later became executive vice president and general manager of Canada Basketball. Rowan got settled in Mississauga, Ontario after retiring from professional basketball in 2018.

Kesha Duhaney, Barrett’s mother, hails from Brooklyn, New York. She was a high-ranking national sprinter and long jumper for St. John’s University before working for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Rowan and Kesha are highly supportive of their son’s professional career, being athletes from their youth.
